More about our school...

Our school is a school for children between the ages of four and eleven, a member of the STAR Multi Academy Trust, in the pretty village of Appleton Roebuck, just off the A64 between York and Leeds.

The school has a long history dating back to the 1800s and its current building is a combination of the original 1906 infant school and more recent extensions. At the heart of the school is the hall, which regularly hosts assemblies and celebrations as well as music lessons, and the school also has a separate modern building which houses our EYFS pupils in their own space, located across the playground adjacent to the sports field, running track and trim trail.

The school currently has five classes:

  • Early Years (Reception)
  • Year 1/2
  • Year 3
  • Year 4
  • Year 5/6

The school occupies a safe, enclosed site, which includes extensive playing fields and a hardplay facility. Other outdoor facilities include a developed nature study area with pond, a trim trail, a running track, two dedicated outdoor play areas for our infant pupils in EYFS/KS1, and our orchard - a quiet area with picnic tables and plentiful apples each year.

We cater for pupils from Appleton Roebuck, Bolton Percy and surrounding villages, although a number of our children come from further afield.
