Our outstanding school
The BFGs have had a truly fabulous day out today at Scarborough beach. We had fun playing in the sand, gathering and identifying fossils, discovering a dinosaur footprint and finding amazing living creatures in rock-pools. The children have made us incredibly proud. They have braved the cold, walked a very long way, and there wasn't a complaint, despite being soggy and covered in sand...all part of our exciting day at the seaside. Well done BFGs, we all had a great time and can't wait to continue our topic work using all the wonderful things we learned and gathered today.
Our topic for this half term is Tremors. We will be having a very exciting trip to the seaside on 6th June and will be learning all about how sand/rocks are formed, as well as investigating how fossils are created. The children are very excited about the topic already and can't wait to learn more about volcanoes. It is sure to be a very fun half term. Keep an eye out for some of our fabulous work. I have attached the newsletter and homework ideas for the topic.
We're very excited about our new topic - Tribal Tales - which will take us back to the Stone Age (no internet!)
Attached are our newsletter and homework details. Grammar and maths books will still be coming home on Monday. Please return to school on Friday for marking.
